Named for the Farmers Alliance movement, Alliance was incorporated in 1965.

Alliance has a variety of small businesses and government offices within its boundaries and provides street repairs and lighting to its residents.

The Town is governed by an elected Board which includes a Mayor and four council members. Meetings are the second Monday of every month at 7:00 pm. at Town Hall and are open to the public.
